Mike has extensive experience in senior leadership positions in the military, defense manufacturing, defense consulting, and academia.
Additionally he has extensive project, program, and operations management experience at senior levels in managing international programs, operations planning, and materials management in an US/Israeli defense engineering development and manufacturing environment.
Dr. Whittenberg is an accomplished University professor having taught Project, Logistics, and Operations Management and Manufacturing Planning and Control at the University of Texas at Arlington at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Applied practical experience of many years of Senior Military, Defense Manufacturing Executive, and Executive positions as a Defense Consultant to the University Classroom. He continues to teach Project management at the graduate level.
COL (USA Retired) has high level US Army leadership experience in acquisition, Army General Staff, training management, warfighting, and combat systems. Served in combat in Vietnam as a utility helicopter pilot. Commanded Infantry, Armor, Cavalry, and Aviation units at all levels from Platoon to Battalion level twice at each level. As the Deputy Director of Army Training, managed the Army's Training and General Forces Program Evaluation Groups with a total annual budget of greater than $7.1 Billion.
